वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam)
This Sanskrit phrase beautifully conveys the idea that “The world is one family.”
WATO embodies this philosophy, recognizing that terrorism is a global issue that demands collective action and cooperation.
This belief reinforces our unwavering commitment to fostering a world free from terrorism, ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background, can live with peace, security, and dignity.
By upholding the highest ethical standards and collaborating with nations, organizations, and prominent personalities worldwide, we strive to build a just and peaceful future for all.
Why We exist?
In an increasingly interconnected world, terrorism has evolved, taking on new forms that exploit globalization and technological advancements.
Unlike traditional terrorism with more localized aims, these interconnected forms often operate transnationally, making them more difficult to combat.
It’s not just about bombs and borders anymore; it’s about the poison in our digital veins (cyber terrorism), the destruction of our shared Earth (eco-terrorism), the manipulation of life itself (chemical terrorism), and the insidious grip of illicit substances (narco-terrorism).
Addressing this isn’t just a matter of security, it’s about safeguarding the future we’re building – a future envisioned by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, a future where peace, justice, and strong institutions prevail (SDG 16).
By understanding the interconnected nature of these threats, WATO TRUST strongly believes that we can forge stronger bonds of cooperation, share knowledge, and build a world where the promise of progress isn’t hijacked by fear, but nurtured by hope and love. It’s a fight for our shared humanity, a fight we must win!
